Attunement weekend Information What you can expect Reiki Links Reiki Home Page Home Page	First a little about ourselves, Terry and I have been doing Reiki attunements since November of 1998. Over the span of time we have had the opportunity to attune over 70 individuals to Level I, 60 individuals to Level II and over a dozen individuals to Level II. While most of the individuals were from the Houston area, others were from Oklahoma, Florida, India, Turkey, and Malaysia. Each person that has come to us has presented us with a gift. One of the reasons we like to do attunements is our hope that each household have at least one person attuned to Reiki. Spreading the gift of Reiki through attunements is something that both of us find very fulfilling. What better way to help create a more peaceful world than through the healing power of the Divine Source. Many people ask "How do I learn to do Reiki." Reiki is a gift from the Creator that comes to the person through an attunement process. We all have the gift. All one has to do to use that gift is to be attuned. It does not take years to learn. It is generally done over a weekend. Attunement to Level I allows the individual to heal on a physical level. During level II attunement, the student receives the ability to heal on the emotional, mental, and spiritual level. The student can also practice distance healing. Attunement to Reiki Level III gives the individual additional symbols. After Reiki III the individual is considered a Reiki Level III practitioner until they take on a student and pass on an attunement. At that point, they then become a Reiki Master. The attunement process is actually quite simple. The Reiki Master goes through a series of exercises designed to place the Reiki symbols in their aura field. The symbols are placed on a persons crown, hands and back. The Reiki Master places a "seal," a symbol over the symbols to forever place them in your aura. The attunement can last anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour depending on the number of individuals being attuned at one time. After that, the Reiki student can practice Reiki to what ever level they have been attuned. That is the simple version. In the past a person was attuned to Reiki I and was told to practice Reiki for awhile. Then when they felt they were ready, to come back for attunement to Reiki Level II. Today we live in a different world with busier schedules and now attunement to Level I and II usually takes place on a weekend. The world is in dire need of healing. Anything we can do to speed up the process to help will benefit more people. We usually attune individuals to Level I and Level II over a weekend. We find that most people can fit a weekend into their schedule. We have on special occasions made other arrangements . There was a group of individuals from Turkey, because of their circumstance, just wanted to be attuned to level I on an afternoon. We felt it was important to help them with their wish. William Rand has found that by doing attunements to Level I and Level II close together, the students seemed to be at a higher frequency. He described it as Level I being shot up like a rocket and then Level II is the booster rocket. The person is in a higher orbit than if the rocket came down some before setting off the booster rocket.
